Founded in 2010 the Washington DC Metropolitan Area Chapter of the National Concierge Association is dedicated to the concierge profession.
Our members are comprised of hotel, residential, corporate and personal concierges. We also graciously welcome associated hospitality industry professionals, meeting planners and area businesses whose products and/or services are of benefit to Concierge clientele. Networking meetings are held each month at venues throughout the city of Washington, D.C. and surrounding communities.

concierge membership
The National Concierge Association (NCA) defines the title of Concierge as an individual whose principal responsibility is to assist in fulfilling any request providing that the request is legal, ethical and appropriate for the Concierge to do. To become a Washington DC Metropolitan Chapter concierge member the applicant must have a demonstrable and provable title of concierge for a minimum of six (6) months prior to date of application. Depending on where the concierge is located, prospective concierge members may apply for membership either through an NCA chapter or as an NCA member-at-large.
The NCA grants "Certified Concierge" designations to NCA Concierge members based on certain criteria, such as level of service to the organization, excellence in customer service, and philanthropic involvement.
This designation is granted for a period of three years at the end of which the Certified Concierge must officially file another application for the designation. Each Certified Concierge is granted permission to utilize the special emblem signifying their elevated status as a Certified Concierge.

affiliate membership
Business owners, companes, vendors and anyone who supports the concierge profession will be entitled to become affiliate members of the National Concierge Assocation (NCA). Since our organization is founded on networking, this membership type is integral to our organizations success. Depending on where the business is located, affiliate members may apply for membership either through an NCA chapter or as an NCA Affiliate member-at-large.
The NCA grants "Endorsed Partner" designations to NCA affiliated member businesses based on the length of affiliated membership in the organization, the level of service or product on behalf of NCA Concierge clientele, and individual activity within the NCA. Becoming an NCA Endorsed Partner means that the designated business is 100% endorsed by the NCA. This designation is for a period of three years at the end of which the Endorsed Partner must officially file another application for the designation. Each Endorsed Partner is granted to utilize a special emblem signifying their elevated status as an Endorsed Partner.

associate membership
The National Concierge Association (NCA) defines the title of Concierge as an individual whose principal responsibility is to assist in fulfilling any request providing that the request is legal, ethical and appropriate for the Concierge to do. However, many businesses or employers do not offer the title of 'concierge' to those who consistently perform all of the duties of a concierge. VIP Representatives, Sales Representatives, Front Desk Representatives and Executive Assistants are just a few of the examples to whom the associate membership will be applicable.
To become an associate member the applicant must have a demonstrable and provable job descriprion to that of a concierge and be employed in the current position for a minimum of six (6) months prior to date of application.
Depending on where the associate member is located, prospective associate members may apply for membership either through an NCA chapter or as an NCA member-at-large. For a listing of our current chapter locations, please click here.

at-large membership
If an NCA chapter exists in the city, state or province in which the applicant headquarters its business, the applicant must join the NCA via the chapter. To view our current chapter locations, please click here.
If no NCA chapter exists in the city, state or province in which the applicant headquarters its business, the applicant may apply for an NCA at-large membership. Whether the applicant is a concierge or a business who supports the concierge profession, they can join our organization. In the event an NCA chapter is established within a reasonable driving distance of the affiliated at-large (headquarters), the at-large member will automatically become a member of the new chapter.
